India's induction furnace (IF) steel market prices moved in a downward direction on 10 October, 2023, as offers floated by the mills decreased in the range of INR 100-800/tonne (t) d-o-d compared to the previous trading session.
Sponge iron prices varied in the range of INR 100-400/t. The highest drop was seen in Raigarh and Jharsuguda markets.
Billet prices declined in the range of INR 200-600/t. The highest fall was seen in the Mumbai market.
Rebar (Fe 500) offers fell in the range of INR 200-800/t, with the Raigarh market witnessing the steepest fall.
The overall market remained dull today as buyers remained inactive and awaited further price correction.
