Indian DRI, billet and re-bar update - 20 July

India's induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed downward price trends across commodities on 20 July 2023. Offers varied in the range of INR 100-500/tonne (t) d-o-d.

Sponge iron prices went down by INR 100-250/t. Prices in Bellary decreased by INR 250/t.

Billet prices dropped by INR 100-400/t. The maximum decline was seen in Mandi, Gobindagarh market today.

Meanwhile, rebar (Fe 500) offers dipped in the range of INR 100-500/t. Prices fell by INR 500/t in Hyderabad's market.

Overall, the market saw a decline in terms of offers and prices. Semi-finished prices continued falling today due to low demand. Finished long prices also fell across regions.
