Indian DRI, billet and re-bar update - 12' June

India's induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed upward price trends, Offers across mills rose by INR 350/tonne (t) d-o-d on 12 June'23.

Sponge iron prices edged up by INR 50-350/t. Prices rose by INR 350/t in the Durgapur market.

Billet prices increased by INR 100-300/t. The Raigarh, Ramgarh and Mandi, Gobindgarh markets saw an increase of INR 300/t today.

In addition, rebar (Fe 500) offers rose in the range of INR 100-300/t. Prices in Mandi, Gobindgarh , Durgapur and Raipur were up by INR 300/t d-o-d.

Overall, the semi finished market witnessed a slight rise in offers. Also, some price hike in witnessed finished across the regions . Trades were moderate throughout the day as buyers remained cautious for bulk booking.
