India: Vizag Steel Concludes 30,000 MT Billet Export Tender

India's state owned steel maker under the Ministry of Steel -Vizag Steel had invited bloom export tenders of size - 200*200 and 150*150 mm and quantity 20,000 MT and 30,000 MT respectively. The company had concluded the two lots (15,000 MT each) of billet export for 150*150mm at around USD 400/MT, FoB. However the lot for 200*200 mm is still under negotiation.

Prior to this as well, the company had floated bloom export tenders of size; 200*200 mm and 150*150 mm and quantity 20,000 MT and 30,000 MT respectively. According to market sources report to SteelMint, the company had concluded the tender for size 150*150mm at around USD 370-375/MT, FoB India for end Nov shipment.
Indian billet export prices have picked up following hike in global export offers. Few Indian steel mills were heard to have booked decent quantities of billet for export for Dec'19.
