India: Sixteen companies in race for Odisha iron ore mine block auctions

The Odisha government has started the third round of mineral block auctions with four blocks put under the hammer.

The government has identified four iron ore (including iron ore and manganese ore) blocks for electronic auction in accordance with the Mineral (Auction) Rules, 2015. These include Koira iron ore block (expired), Kedesala North East iron ore block (virgin), Orahuri manganese and iron ore block (virgin) and Kusumdihi manganese and iron ore block (expired).

Out of 16 companies in the race, key ones include JSW, JSPL, AM/NS India, and Vedanta.
