India: Silico Manganese exports up by 5% m-o-m in Jul' 20

Indian manganese alloys exports in India increased by 3.48% in Jul' 20 M-o-M. Major exports were commenced by Mortex India group, one of the leading traders in India, with approximately 11% of the total manganese alloys (Silico manganese and Ferro Manganese) exported from India. Other major exporters were Maithan Alloys Limited, Premium Ferromet Pvt. Ltd., Shyam Sel & Power Limited, Sarda Metals & Alloys Limited, Hira Electro Smelters Limited each exported approximately 5% of the total quantity.

UAE, a major importer of manganese alloys from India, reported a hike of 33% in the crude steel production in Jul' 20 m-o-m from 164,000t in Jun' 20 to 219,000 in Jul' 20. Meanwhile, Taiwan and Japan's steel production remained stable in Jul' 20 with a marginal drop of 2.5% and 5% respectively.
