India: SAIL Floats Export Tender for 30,000 MT Slab

Steel Authority of India Ltd. - a government of India company has floated an export tender for Mild Steel Concast Slab from its Rourkela Steel Plant.

The tender quantity is reported to be around 30,000 MT. The cargo will be shipped from the Vizag port. If sources are to be believed, due to production cut, the steel maker has Slab stock left because of which it is exploring export option.

Specification: Q235B/SS400 (Chemistry: C=0.13-0.20% Mn= 0.40-0.70% P= 0.40 % Max S= 0.40 % Max Si= 0.15-0.35 %)

Size Details: Thickness: 210/220/230 mm, Width: 1250-1800 mm, Length: 7500-10,000mm, Slab weight upto 21 MT

Bidding Schedule: Starts from 18:30:00HRS [IST] of 28 Apr'20 to till 16:00:00HRS [IST] of 07 May'20

Offer Validity:Offer must be valid upto 18:00:00HRS [IST] of 12 May'20
