India: SAIL Floats Export Tender for 20,000 MT Pig Iron

Steel Authority of India Ltd. - a government of India company has floated an export tender for Pig Iron from its Bokaro Steel Plant. The tender quantity is reported to be around 18,000 to 20,000 MT.
The cargo will be shipped from the Haldia Port West Bengal.
Specification: SAIL A Grade Silicon (Si)% - <= 1.5% Sulphur (S)% - <= 0.06% Phosphorus (P)% - <= .20% Manganese (Mn)% - <= 0.1% Carbon (C)%- 3.8 to 4.6%
Physical Parameters :
1. Dust , Dirt and Moisture exceeding 0.5% deductible from draft survey weight.
2. Chips below 25 mm not exceeding 5 %
3. PIG IRON stock has 2 notches ( around 80-85%) & weight around 45-48 KG. Rest will be single Notch or no Notch
Bidding Schedule: Starts from 18:00:00 HRS [IST] of 12 May'20 to till 16:00:00 HRS [IST] of 15 May'20
Offer Validity : Offer must be valid upto 17:00:00HRS [IST] of 19 May'20
Shipping schedule by: 30 June'20
Prior to this, an Indian private pig iron producer was learned to have concluded deal for 30,000 MT pig iron export deal at around USD 300-305/MT, CFR China. Although this deal could not be confirmed till the time of publishing this report.
