India: SAIL Floats Export Tender for 18,900 MT Steel Grade Pig Iron

Steel Authority of India Ltd. - a government of India company has floated an export tender for steel making pig iron from its Bhilai Steel Plant. The tender quantity is reported to be 18,900 MT. The cargo will be shipped from the Vizag port. If sources are to be believed, due to production cut, the steel maker has pig iron stock left because of which it is exploring export option.

Specification: Export Grade On LSA Basis C % 4.0 to 4.5, Si % 0.7 to 1.0, S% 0.020-0.035, P% 0.10-0.18, Mn% 0.08 % to 0.15, Ti% 0.05 -0.09.

Size Details: weight per piece is 40 Kg to 45Kg and each piece has 3 compartments of approx. 15kg.

Bidding Schedule: Starts from 18:30:00 HRS [IST] of 14 Apr'20 to till 17 Apr'20 by 16:00:00 HRS [IST].

Offer Validity : Offer must be valid upto 17:00:00HRS [IST] of 22 Apr'20
