India: Odisha Iron Ore Production Drops 25% in July Amid Monsoons

Odisha - India's largest iron ore producing state has witnessed 25% decline in production in July'18 at 6.82 MnT owing to monsoons , as compared to June'18 production at 9.14 MnT. The figures include material type - fines, lump and concentrate.
According to the provisional data of Odisha govt. maintained by SteelMint, state's production recorded increase of 10% Y-o-Y in July'18 as against July'17 production at 6.22 MnT.
Rungta Mines - India's largest private merchant miner produced 1.51 MnT iron ore in July'18, down 27% M-o-M as against 2.08 MnT in June'18.
Tata iron ore production stood at 1.02 MnT (stable M-o-M) and SAIL at 0.69 MnT (down 16% on monthly basis).
Iron ore production of state-owned miner- OMC marked a sharp decline of 76% to 0.21 MnT for the month as against 0.89 MnT in June'18.
RP Sao resumed operations after a gap of around 1.5 years and recorded an increased production in July'18 at 0.4 MnT, up 43% as against 0.28 MnT in June'18.
Essel Mining, KJS Ahluwalia and Serajuddin have depicted decline in production for the month of July'18. Essel mining production witnessed at 0.6 MnT (down 27% M-o-M), KJS Ahluwalia at 0.49 MnT (down 11%) and Serajuddin at 0.44 MnT ( down 12% on monthly basis).
