India: Odisha Iron Ore Production Down 12% in Aug'19 Amid Monsoon

Odisha - India's largest iron ore producing state recorded production at 9.39 MnT down 12% due to monsoon, as against 10.65 MnT in July'19, according to the provisional data of Odisha Govt. maintained by SteelMint. The figures include the type of material - fines, lump, and concentrate.
Rungta Mines - India's largest private merchant miner produced 1.96 MnT iron ore in Aug'19. The production recorded slight increase on monthly basis.
Serajuddin mines production recorded 11% rise to 1.42 MnT in Aug'19 as compared to 1.28 MnT a month ago. Serajuddin has decreased iron ore lump offers on 24 Sept'19. Miner has lowered prices for 5-18 mm (Fe 63%) by INR 300/MT to INR 3,400/MT (ex-mines, including Royalty, DMF, & NMET) as against last offers at INR 3,700/MT (ex-mines, GST extra).
Tata Steel's iron ore production stood at 1.06 MnT (down 15%) and SAIL at 0.69 MnT (down 19%) for Aug'19.
Essel Mining and Industries iron ore production for the month stood at 0.78 MnT, almost stable on monthly basis. The miner has been continuously increasing its production at its Jilling Langalota mines after it received permission from Supreme Court in Feb'18.
