India: Odisha Iron Ore Dispatches Fell 11% in Aug'19*

Odisha- India's largest iron ore producing state recorded total iron ore dispatches at 6.50 MnT in Aug'19, as against 7.27 MnT in July'19. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of miners- SAIL & Tata Steel. Due to seasonal effect (monsoon) led the iron ore dispatches down from Odisha.

Rungta Mines, India's largest private merchant miner, dispatched the iron ore at 1.63 MnT in Aug'19, down 7% on monthly basis.

Serajuddin mine recorded iron ore dispatches at 1.02 MnT in Aug'19, up as against 0.96 MnT in July'19. Serajuddin has decreased iron ore lump offers on 24 Sept'19. Miner has lowered prices for 5-18 mm (Fe 63%) by INR 300/MT to INR 3,400/MT (ex-mines, including Royalty, DMF, & NMET) as against last offers at INR 3,700/MT (ex-mines, GST extra).

Serajuddin mine produces around 10 MnT iron ore annually and has an EC limit of 15.15 MnT p.a.

OMC, state-owned miner recorded 4% rise in dispatches to 0.81 MnT as against 0.77 MnT in July'19.

RP Sao, Kaypee Enterprises and Essel Mining recorded drop in monthly dispatches at 0.50 MnT, 0.43 MnT, and 0.33 MnT respectively.
