India: Odisha Govt. Stopped Issuing Permits to Few Iron Ore Mines

As per SteelMint sources, Odisha govt has stopped issuing permits to about 6 iron ore mines for unknown reasons. As per sources, few of the mines to whom notices have been issued to hold permits are Serajuddin Mines, KJS Ahluwalia, Kaypee Enterprises, Indrani Patnaik etc. However, the miners are hopeful that issue will not continue for long and will soon be resolved.

Dispatches are still going on from these mines, however new permits have been suspended temporarily.

Odisha is India's largest iron ore producing state and recorded production of 96.76 MnT in FY18.
