India: NMDC Resumes Pellet Offer from Donimalai Plant After Five Months Gap

NMDC Donimalai pellet plant has resumed offering pellets after a gap of around five months. The company has quoted fresh offer Fe 64% pellets at INR 7,000/MT (FoT basis).

-- Current offers are for a quantity of 20,000-30,000 MT on advance payment basis. The price validity is till 29th Feb'20. Rake loading can be arranged at an extra cost of INR 105/MT (including GST).

-- Prior to this the Company had last floated offer of INR 6,200/MT in Sept'19.

-- NMDC Ltd is operating 1.2 MnT pa capacity pellet plant located at Donimalai, Karnataka.

Bellary pellet market overview-: Other Bellary based pellet makers have kept offers stable this week to INR 7,100-7,200/MT (Ex-Bellary).

Few pellet makers from Karnataka were not offering pellet in the merchant market from the last couple of weeks due to maintenance shut down and tight availability of iron ore. Following this, Bellary pellet price assessment of SteelMint moved up by INR 300/MT in mid Feb'20.
