India: NMDC Iron Ore Sales Up 9% M-o-M in Dec'19

In FY20 (till Dec'19), NMDC recorded iron ore sales of 23.03 MnT, up 4% Y-o-Y and production of 22.01 MnT, up 1% Y-o-Y.

NMDC's total iron ore sales were recorded at 3.04 MnT for the month of Dec'19, up 9% as compared to 2.79 MnT in Nov'19. It registered rise in iron ore sales from Chhattisgarh mines at 2.45 MnT, up 10% against 2.23 MnT in Nov'19.

In Dec'19 there was no price revision done by NMDC from its Chhattisgarh mines. Merchant iron ore miners from Odisha like Essel mining, RP Sao and KN Ram hike iron ore offers around INR 400-600/MT in the last one month.

Sales from Karnataka mines increased 5% M-o-M to 0.59 MnT in Dec'19. On yearly basis, total iron ore sales for FY'20 (till Dec'19) moved up 4% Y-o-Y to 23.03 MnT.

NMDC iron ore production increased by 6% M-o-M in Dec'19

NMDC registered 6% increase in production for the month of Dec'19 to 3.13 MnT as against 2.94 MnT a month ago. Production from Chhattisgarh mines picked up by 9% M-o-M to 2.61 MnT, while it fell by 4% from Karnataka mines to 0.52 MnT.
