India: NINL Offers Steel Billet in Merchant Market

Neelachal Ispat (NINL) - India's largest pig iron producer has commenced Billet production in line with laid plans and has started offering billets in merchant market.
In a fresh circular, MMTC on behalf of NINL has offered 150*150 mm (12 mtr) Billet from Cuttack, Odisha based plant. The offers for the Billet floated at INR 31,000/MT (USD 435) ex-plant & excluding 18% GST.

NINL has logged its best-ever monthly output for hot metal during Dec'18 and alone rolled out 85,090 MT of hot metal, its highest monthly output ever.
NINL, the country's leading pig iron producer and exporter, runs a 1.1 MT steel plant at Duburi inside the Kalinganagar industrial complex, known as Odisha's steel hub in eastern India. Aside from billets, the steel PSU would churn out TMT bars and wire rods on a conversion process executed at its Duburi plant in the eastern state of Odisha.
