India: Kamdhenu Enhances Steel Production Capacity

Kamdhenu Ltd has added new production capacity of 60,000 MT per annum in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh to manufacture Kamdhenu Structural Steel under expansion of its franchise partner programme.

As per company's FY19 result, Kamdhenu Limited has annual installed capacity of about 3.0 MnT, in which rebar contributes 2.5 MnT, while structural steel by about 0.5 MnT.

In terms of franchise proportion, near to 44 franchise has been stabilized for rebars production and around 10 nos for structure steels production which supply material to across India.

Also the company observed to expand its production capacity with a vision to strengthen supply movement across regions through its dealer network elongation, as reported earlier by SteelMint.

With recent add Structural steel production capacity of 60,000 MT per annum in Uttar Pradesh is to consider the prospective demand and immediate consumption with number of various projects after announcing considerable spending by state government as well as central government for the largest state of India.

Further it learned that, Dadri (U.P) is most suitable to cover up the surrounding premium markets like Haryana, Delhi/NCR and other outskirts of the state where it can be easily supply and might get appropriate response for upcoming projects through government & non-government projects.

Commenting on the company's sustained growth in the state, Sunil Agarwal, Director, Kamdhenu Limited said: "Kamdhenu Structural Steel is witnessing strong demand in northern India on the back of robust infrastructure growth, revival of housing sector coupled with customer trust in our strong product portfolio."

At our Dadri plant, we are producing I-Beams, angles and channels to cater to this demand. UP is a key growth market for us and we are committed to meet the increasing demand for high quality building materials in the state by increasing our production capacity by approx. 20% in the coming years, Agarwal said.

We are also strengthening our foothold in the region by penetrating deeper and reaching out to the remotest markets of the state, he added.
