NMDC-: India's largest iron ore mine production in FY19 was recorded at 32.47 MnT despite multiple challenges like closure at Donimalai mines for 5 months, nil exports till Aug'18, the highest rainfall in Bailadila sector and poor offtake in Karnataka sector for first quarter. Out of the total iron ore production 23.39 MnT produced by C.G Bailadila sector and rest 9.08 MnT from NMDC Karnataka mines.
OMC-: Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) - a state-owned miner is all set with iron ore production ramp-up plans for coming years to make up for expected supply disruption after March 2020 following lease expiry. OMC is planning to achieve 20 MnT iron ore output by FY21. OMC has applied for enhancement of Environmental Clearance (EC) limits at its Daitari and Kurmitar mines and expects a positive outcome on the same by Oct'19.
EC limit at Daitari mines is proposed to be increased to 6 Mnt pa from current EC of 3 Mnt pa. On similar lines, EC limit at OMC's Kurmitar mines is proposed to be increased from current 2.4 MnT p.a. to 6 MnT p.a.
Rungta Mines -: Odisha's largest private merchant mine, produce iron ore at 24 MnT in FY'19. The production recorded drop by 5% Y-o-Y against 25.3 MnT in FY'18.
Essel Mining-: Company has depicted a sharp increase in iron ore production for the year at 10 MnT, up more than 2.5 times as compared to 3.7 MnT in FY18. The miner resumed operations at its Jilling Langalota mines after it received permission from Supreme Court in Feb'18. The Company own mines in Odisha.
Serajuddin-: Odisha based merchant miner has recorded iron ore production at 8MnT, down 11% against 9 MnT in FY'18. The miner has started operations at its another pit which was closed for quite some time owing to the technical issue. Serajuddin has an EC limit of 15.15 MnT p.a.
