India: Goa govt sets out timeline for iron ore block auctions

The Goa government has recently put up for auction four iron ore blocks. As per latest updates received, the state government has released the timelines for all the iron ore mines.

The blocks, three in the north - Bicholim, Sirigao-Mayem and Monte de Sirigao - and one at Kalay in south Goa are the first set of mines that are likely to be followed by auctions at regular intervals, according to senior state government officials.

The tender document of Rs 5 lakh each can be bought by 15 November and the technical bids are to be submitted by 21 November. The tender process will be governed by the timetable outlined below. The State government may change the timetable by issuing an update to the tender document.
