India: Finish Long Steel Export Increases in July 2019

Indian Finished long steel exports surged 37.5% in Jul'19, as per the custom data maintained with SteelMint.

Finish long steel exports by India on monthly basis is registered at 0.11 MnT in Jul'19, surged 37.5% as against 0.08 MnT in Jun'19.

Factors could be attributed behind the increased in export is higher inventories, weak demand amid monsoon, leads the drop in country's long steel consumption by 22.54% in Jul'19 to 3.78 MnT than the 4.88 MnT in Jun'19.

In line on yearly basis also country's export increased by 37.5% in Jul'19 as against 0.08 MnT in Jul'18.

Commodity wise- Rebar export is marked at 0.05 MnT in Jul'19 up 25% as against 0.04 MnT in Jun'19 followed by Structure 0.02 MnT in Jul'19 enlarged 100% as against 0.01 MnT in Jun'19 and wire rod export also gain by 100% to 0.04 MnT Jul'19 than the 0.02 MnT in Jun'19.

Country wise- Nepal Stood as top importer of finish long steel from India and on M-o-M basis it registered at 0.05 MnT in Jul'19, up 66.66% as against 0.03 MnT in Jun'19 followed by Hong Kong 0.04 MnT in Jul'19 (+300%) as against 0.01 MnT in Jun'19 and Bangladesh 0.01 MnT in Jul'19 which remained stable against previous month.
