India: Ferro Silicon Market Stagnates At the Same Price Level

Ferro Silicon market sees no changes in terms of prices, with sources continuing to cite a moderately traded domestic market.

Ferro Silicon Prices in Bhutan remain static due to limited supply, despite reports of strong demand from overseas. Currently grade 70-75 is being offered around INR 71,000/MT (Ex-Bhutan).

Indian producers also keep Ferro silicon prices firm aided by stable prices in Bhutan. Current price grade 70-75 is around 69,500/MT (Ex-Guwahati).

Overseas inquiry for Bhutanese Ferro Silicon has improved, but producers are out of stock to conclude deals. However, the Bhutanese producers have quoted their export offers at USD 1100/MT FOB Kolkata.

Sources in the market continue to suggest that stable prices to continue and believe that the market condition is unlikely to change in the near future. SteelMint learned from market sources that in the coming 1-2 weeks, Ferro Silicon market should not undergo much change in terms of prices.
