India: Ferro Alloy Exports Up by 13% M-o-M in Aug'17

According to the Indian customs, the country has witnessed an increase of 13% M-o-M in its ferroalloy exports.
In Aug'17, India exported a total of 0.18 MnT Ferro Alloys, against 0.16 MnT in Jul'17. Moreover, on yearly basis, there has been a substantial increase of 50% Y-o-Y in its export volume, which stood at 0.12 MnT in Aug'16.
Silico Manganese and Ferro Chrome export in Aug'17 was recorded at 0.07 MnT each and volume of both the commodities remained unchanged on monthly basis. Ferro Manganese export in Aug'17 also increased by 0.01 MnT to 0.04 MnT.
China remained the largest importer of Indian Ferro Alloys at 0.03 MnT in Aug'17, witnessing a substantial increase of 50% M-o-M. South Korea and Japan, on the other hand, imported a similar quantity at 0.02 MnT and registered no change on monthly basis.
