Indian chrome ore dispatches increased by 14% m-o-m in Dec'21 following drop in its prices.
Dispatches from OMC Increased by 47% m-o-m, with a major chunk supplied to Jindal Stainless followed by VISA Steel. Meanwhile, captive procurement of TATA Steel increased significantly by 51% m-o-m in Dec'21.
Tata Steel and Jindal Stainless remained as the two largest receivers of chrome ore, each accounting for 19% and 15% of the total dispatches respectively. Meanwhile, Aarti Steel, Shyam Metaliks and IMFA reduced their procurements last month due to enough stock available with them.
Procurement trend
IMFA procured major portion of the material from its captive mines, while some quantity from OMC and TATA Steel. Meanwhile, Jindal procured 72% of the material from OMC while the rest from TATA Steel.
