India: Chrome Ore Dispatches Decreased in Feb'20 Ahead of Mining Lease Expiry

Dispatches of Chrome Ore by Odisha miners have sunk down by almost 41% in Feb'20 against Jan'20. TATA Steel remained the largest miner to dispatch 83,841 MT of Chrome Ore which is approximately half the previous month's dispatches. Jindal Stainless and Nava Bharat ventures were the major buyers from TATA Steel, with Jindal being the largest buyer procured 18% of the total dispatches. Meanwhile, Dispatches from OMC also reduced by approximately 50% in Feb'20 M-o-M. However, dispatches from IMFA and Balasore Alloys remained stable on M-o-M basis. The total dispatches remained at 216,570 MT in Feb'20.
