India: BRPL Reports Highest Pellet Export Volumes in Nov'19

Brahmani River Pellets Limited (BRPL), an Odisha based pellet maker has achieved highest ever export month sales of 3,57,562 MT in Nov'19 by sailing out six vessels from Paradip Port. Prior to this, in Nov'18, the company achieved the highest month sales of 354,027 MT.

BRPL is co-owned by Thriveni Pellets Pvt Ltd and JSW Techno Projects Ltd. BRPL has set-up a 4.0 MnT pa iron ore pellet plant at, Jajpur, Odisha, 4.0 MnT pa iron ore concentrate production at beneficiation plant Barbil, Odisha, a 218 km long iron ore slurry pipeline from beneficiation plant to Pellet plant.
India exported 10.55 MnT pellets during Jan-Oct'19, according to data maintained with SteelMint. BRPL remained the largest exporter followed by JSPL, KIOCL and Rashmi. China remained the most preferred destination for Indian pellet exports occupying 70% share followed by Oman, South Korea & Turkey.
