Sponge iron prices in India experienced a significant drop in the range of INR 150-550/t in key domestic markets. PDRI prices were assessed at INR 26,600-28,700/t at close of trading and CDRI prices at INR 29,000-34,800/t. About 11,850 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 6 June compared to 10,560 t on 5 June.

BigMint's weekly Indian low-grade iron ore fines (Fe 57%) export index fell sharply by $9.5/t w-o-w to $57/t FOB east coast on 6 June 2024.

BigMint's billet index dropped again today by INR 350/t to INR 44,200/t exw Raipur on 6 June, 2024.Total transactions were 1,760 t, up from 1,200 t on 5 June.
