India: BHEL Invites Tender for Purchase of 8,700 MT Beams

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is an integrated power plant equipment manufacturer and one of the largest engineering and manufacturing company of its kind in India.
The company has invited tender for purchase of 8,700 MT Beams at Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The total quantity of beams is to be supplied in 12 different sizes and the delivery of all the beams is scheduled in two phase. First phase of 5,100 MT should be delievered within 8 weeks and rest quantity of 3,600 MT should be delivered with in 12 weeks from the date of LOI/PO.

In case of supplies from any new foreign supplier, material inspection shall be carried out by Third Party Inspection Agency like Lloyds or SGS or BVQI prior to shipment at Supplier's work and total inspection charges shall be borne by the supplier only.
In case of offer with equivalent material grade, then copy of the entire specification of that equivalent material grade shall be sent along with the techno-commercial bid without fail for our verification and acceptance.
Invoicing shall be on Theoretical weight basis with Density 7.85 Kg/dm3. In case the supply is on Actual weight basis, then suitable loading on cost will be made based on the maximum allowed tolerance on weight as indicated in the relevant standard.
Offer of Indigenous sources with LC payment terms will be summarily rejected.
Tender schedule:
Due date of bid submission is 30 Oct'18 at 14:00 hrs IST and the techno-commercial opening is on same day at 14:30 hrs IST.
