Czech Republic Steel Export Statistics Q2 2019

Czech Republic ferrous Scrap export rise, while Finish long steel exports fell in Q2 CY'19, as per custom data maintained with SteelMint.

Czech Republic Ferrous Scrap exports increased by 17.64% in Q2 CY'19- On Quarterly basis country's ferrous scrap export stood at 0.6 MnT in Q2 CY'19 moved up by 17.64% against 0.51 MnT in Q1 CY'19.

On contrary, monthly premises ferrous scrap export was registered at 0.2 MnT in Jun'19, down by 4.76% compared to 0.21 MnT in May'19 and on yearly basis the exports remained stable with 0.2 MnT against previous year i:e; Jun'18.

Czech Republic Finish Long Steel export down by 6.12% in Q2 CY'19- Czech Republic registered its Finish Long steel exports at 0.46 MnT in Q2 CY'19, plunged by 6.12% against 0.49 MnT in Q1 CY'19.

In line, monthly basis Finish long steel exports declined by 17.64% to 0.14 MnT in Jun'19 against 0.17 MnT in May'19, and on yearly basis the exports moved down by 12.5% against 0.16 MnT in Jun'18.

In context, the nation's Crude steel production has slightly lessened by 2% and registered at 1.22 MnT in Q2 CY'19* against 1.24 MnT in Q1 CY'19*.

Under Finish long steel commodities following HS codes has been considered - Bar & Rod (HS Code 7213 & 7214), MS Wire (HS Code 7217) along with Angle & Shapes (HS Code 7215 & 7216).

Commodity wise- Rebar & Wire rod exports registered at 0.29 MnT and 0.09 MnT respectively in Q2 CY'19 which remained stable against Q1 CY'19, followed by Structure (Angle, Channel) at 0.09 MnT in Q2 CY'19 down by 10% against 0.1 MnT in Q1 CY'19.

Country wise- Germany stood as top importer of Finish long steel from Czech Republic and registered at 0.12 MnT in Q2 CY'19; stable against Q1 CY'19 followed by Slovakia at 0.1 MnT in Q2 CY'19 remain unchanged against previous quarter and Poland at 0.07 MnT in Q2 CY'19, down by 22.22% against 0.09 MnT in Q1 CY'19.
