Czech Republic: Ferrous Scrap & Finish Long Steel Exports Drop in Aug'19

As per the custom data maintained with SteelMint, Czech Republic Ferrous scrap and Finish long steel exports plunged by 15.78% and 14.28% respectively, during Aug'19.

Ferrous scrap- The country's ferrous scrap exports plunged by 15.78% M-o-M to 0.16 MnT in Aug'19 against 0.19 MnT in Jul'19, although remained stable on yearly basis against 0.16 MnT in Aug'18.

Finish long steel- Czech republic finish long steel export is registered at 0.12 MnT in Aug'19, plunged by 14.28% M-o-M & Y-o-Y against 0.14 MnT in Jul'19 and Aug'18.

Factors could be attributed towards lessening export is low production of crude steel which is being registered at 0.36 MnT in Aug'19, down by around 8% against 0.39 MnT in Jul'19 due to inappropriate flow of raw material i:e; iron ore which stood at 0.39 MnT in Aug'19 down by 9.3% against 0.43 MnT in Jul'19 amid uncertainty direction in global market particularly EU market due to Brexit situation.

Country wise- Germany stood as top importer of finish long steel from Czech Republic and recorded at 0.03 MnT in Aug'19, drop by 25% against 0.04 MnT in Jul'19, followed by Slovakia 0.03 MnT in Aug'19 remain stable against previous month and Poland 0.02 MnT in Aug'19, plunged by 33.33% as compared to 0.03 MnT in Jul'19.
