China's crude steel output was at 73.75 million tonnes (mn t) in Sept'21, a y-o-y decrease of 21.2%, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. The national average daily crude steel output in September was 2.458 mn t, a m-o-m decrease of 8.5%.
From January to September, China's crude steel production was 805.89 mn t, a y-o-y marginal increase of 2%.
Pig iron: In Sept'21, China's pig iron output was at 65.19 mn t, down 16.1% y-o-y. The average daily pig iron output in September was 2.173 mn t, down 5.8% from the previous month. From January to September, China's pig iron output was at 671.07 mn t, down 1.3% y-o-y.
Finished steel: In Sept'21, China's steel production was at 101.95 mn t, a y-o-y decrease of 14.8%. The average daily output of steel in September was 3.398 mn t, a m-o-m decrease of 3.2%. From January to September, China's steel production was 1.003 mn t, a y-o-y increase of 4.6%.
