3700 MT of Steel Scrap to be Imported in the Batch
SteelMint learned from the latest report published by the Solid Waste & Chemicals Management Centre of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, China that the country is ready to import its fifth batch of scrap imports in 2020. This is the largest bulk import of ferrous and nonferrous scrap after the global pandemic coronavirus outbreak situation is under control in China.
According to a report, the batch allows a total of just 3700 MT of steel scrap, a very small share among other types of scrap including 222,020 tonnes of copper scrap, 191,100 tonnes of aluminium scrap and 165,669 tonnes of paper scrap registered in the list.
Among the importers of Steel scrap, Zhejiang Tenglong Renewable Resources Utilization Co., Ltd. and the Taizhou Jinxuan Metal Co. Ltd. remain the largest importer of steel scrap with 1580 MT and 1000 MT respectively. The bulk cargo will berth at Shanghai Port Waigaoqiao port area in China.
