Canada Iron Ore Export Up 11% Y-o-Y in Sept'17

Canada is the 5th largest iron ore exporter. It has exported 3.71 MnT iron ore in Sept'17 as per trade statistics released by Canadian Customs.
Canada was increased by 11% Y-o-Y in Sept'17 compared to 3.34 MnT in Sept'16. However it's export has decreased by 3% M-o-M in Sept'17 compared to 3.84 MnT in Aug'17
During Jan-Sept'17, Canada has exported 29.87 MnT iron ore down by 2% against same period last year which was 30.48 MnT then.
In Sept'17, an agglomerated (pellets/concentrate) iron ore exports were down by 6% M-o-M to 1.38 MnT against 1.47 MnT in Aug'17.However it was up 23% Y-o-Y in Sept'17 against 1.12 MnT in Sept'16.
Similarly the non-agglomerated (fines/lump) iron ore exports were down by 2% to 2.33 MnT in Sept'17 against 2.37 MnT in Aug'17. However, on yearly basis imports were up by 5% in Sept'17 against 2.22 MnT in Sept'16.
China emerges as largest Canadian Iron Ore importer-:
China continues to remains the largest iron ore importer from Canada in Sept'17 to 1.09 MnT up more than double on mothly basis. It imported highest iron ore from Canada in Sept'17. Other countries that imported from Canada were, France 0.43 MnT, Netherland 0.26 MnT and United Kingdom 0.24 MnT.
