Brazil Steel Exports Statistics - July 2019

Brazil, the world's second-largest Semi finished exporter, has exported about 756,812 MT Semi finished (Slab & Pig iron) in Jul'19, incline by 6.6% M-o-M, as per custom data maintained by SteelMint.
In the month of Jun'19, the crude steel production of Brazil was around 2,823,000 MT and in CY19 (Jan-Jun) it was approximately 16,850,275 MT.
Brazil has recorded iron ore export volumes at 34,268,797 MT in Jul'19, rise by 16.6% as compared to Jun'19 exports at 29,397,780 MT, according to trade statistics released by Brazil customs. On yearly basis, exports dropped 4.8% as against 35,999,442 MT in Jul'19
The total exports for CY19 (Jan-Jul) has depicted 11% drop to 196,107,982 MnT as against 220,348,154 MT in CY18 (Jan-Jul).
Brazil's pig iron exports decreased by about 39.6% M-o-M in Jul'19 & reported at around 152,523 MT against the last month (Jun'19) at 252,689 MT.On yearly premises the exports registered a rise of 42.1% in Jul'19 against 107,317 MT in Jun'18.
During Jul'19, the most favourable export destination of Brazilian pig iron was - United States (99,546 MT) & United Kingdom (39,057 MT).
In Jan-Jul'19, the Nation's pig iron exports were recorded at 1,386,259 MT, which was 981,553 MT during same the period of CY18, inclines by 41.23% Y-o-Y, as per SteelMint Stats.
Brazil has exported about 604,290 MT slab in Jul'19, inclined by 32.1% M-o-M as against 457,402 MT in Jun'19. Inline on yearly premises it increase slightly by 2% as against 592,656 MT in Jul'18.
During Jul'19, United States has imported approximately 54.5% (329,423 MT) slab in Jun'19. Inline, Mexico & Dominican Republic has imported 48,972 MT & 64,710 MT Slab in the month.
In Jul'19, the major export of Slabs were from the ports of Fortaleza Porto (312,053 MT), Itaguai (188,858 MT), & Vitoria (101,608 MT). Approximately 51.63% of exports were done from the port of Fortaleza Porto in Jul'19.
In the total slab exports during CY19 (Jan-Jul), the most favorable export destination of Brazilian slab was - United States (2,652,536 MT), Mexico (289,235 MT), Dominican Republic (213,837 MT), Italy (191,547 MT), Czech Republic (109,164 MT) & Germany (107,542 MT).
The export offers of 150*150 IS 2830 grade billet are currently at USD 395-400/MT FoB India, 150*150 Q235 are at USD 480-485/MT FoB China & 125*125 3sp at USD 410-415/MT FoB Ukraine.
Brazilian Manganese Ore exports up in July'19 on higher volumes to China. Brazilian manganese ore exports increased by 99% M-o-M in July'19, exports from Brazil doubled in Jul'19 in line with increased imports by China. Chinese imports from Brazil increased from 0.16 MnT in Jun'19 to 0.38 MnT in Jul'19. However, imports from India decreased by half in Jul as compared to the previous month.
