Brazil Steel Exports Statistics - February 2020

Brazil, the world's second-largest Semi finished exporter, has exported about 733,014 MT Semi finished (Slab & Pig iron) in Feb'20, declined by 22.1% M-o-M, as per custom data maintained by SteelMint.
-- Country wise the sharp fall in Semis exports registered to United States by 24%. Also no major exports cited to Canada, Indonesia & South Korea in Feb'20.
-- In context to the top buyers of Brazilian Pig iron - it was China at 124,592 MT, Netherland 82,769 MT & United States 51,141 MT.
-- Further for Slab it was United States at 249,455 MT, Turkey 55,205 MT & Belgium 52,032 MT.
-- In Feb'20, the crude steel production of Brazil was around 2,703,870 MT, slightly up as against 2,680,000 MT in Jan'20.
-- Brazil recorded a decrease in its monthly iron ore export volumes to 22,100,167 MT in Feb'20, as compared to Jan'20 at 26,786,982 MT.
-- Brazil Ferro Alloy exports are increase by 66.4% to 451,254 MT in Feb'20 from 271,235 MT in Jan'20.
-- In context to finished steel, the total flat steel exports stood at 140,260 MT & Long steel at 140,260 MT in Feb'20.
