Brazil Billet exports Incline by 23% in CY17

Brazil, the world's second-largest Semi finished exporter, has exported more than 7.5 MnT Billets in the calendar year of 2017 which has been improved by 23% from CY16, recent released data by Brazilian customs reported
The nation has exported billet around 7.66 MnT billet in CY17 (January-December), surge by 22.56% against 6.25 MnT in the same preceding year of 2016. Further, on yearly calculation the billet exports were reported at 6.90MnT in CY15.
While in the month of December, Brazil has exported about 0.72 MnT Billets, the exports have incline by 12.50% M-o-M & Y-o-Y against 0.64 MnT in Nov'17 & Dec'16.
With the rise of steel demand globally, the crude steel production of country was marked at 30.21 MnT in 2016. Meanwhile, in 2017 (Jan'17-Nov'17) the figure of crude steel production stood at 31.57 MnT.

During CY 2017 (Jan-Dec), United States (2.51 MnT) remains the most favorable export destination of Brazilian billet . Inline Mexico (0.65 MnT), Turkey (0.65 MnT), Germany (0.57 MnT) & Argentina (0.49 MnT) was also the major importer of Brazilian billet in CY17.
In the year 2017, the major export of Billets were from the ports of Vitoria (3.25 MnT), Pecem (2.53 MnT) & Rio De Janeiro (1.73 MnT). While approximately 42.42% export were done from the port of Vitoria till December 2017.
