BigMint's daily trade sheet - 9 Sep'24

BigMint's billet index dropped a further INR 100/t due to limited buying activity, reaching INR 37,700/tonne (t) exw-Raipur at close of trading on 9 September, 2024.

Indian sponge iron prices fell by INR 50-100/tonne (t) d-o-d today in major locations. PDRI prices were assessed at INR 23,400-26,000/t, while CDRI prices were reported to be at INR 25,950-29,800/t. Transactions of only 7,600 t of sponge iron were recorded in the country on 9 September, compared to 7,900 t on 6 September.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index, which tracks the Mandi Gobindgarh market, dipped by INR 200/tonne (t) to INR 36,800/t DAP on 9 September 2024.
