BigMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index dropped by INR 200/t to INR 9,350/t ($111/t) DAP Raipur on 9 July, 2024 compared to the last assessment on 5 July. Around 15,000 t of deals were concluded by producers in Raipur, Chhattisgarh at revised offers of INR 9,400/t ($112/t) DAP Raipur in this publishing window.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index for the Mandi Gobindgarh market remained stable at INR 37,500/t DAP on 9 July, 2024.

Prices of sponge iron in India declined by INR 50-750/t across regions. PDRI prices were assessed at INR 24,200-26,700/t and CDRI at INR 26,000-30,000/t. About 19,200 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 9 July compared to 5,000 t on 8 July.
