BigMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 8 July'24

BigMint's billet index declined further by INR 400/t, reaching INR 39,250/t exw-Raipur on 8 July, 2024. Around 1,100 t deals were recorded on 8 July, against 1,500 t as on 5 July.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market dipped by INR 700/tonne (t) ($8.38/t) to INR 37,500/t ($449/t) DAP on 8 July, 2024.

Indian sponge iron prices dropped by INR 50-650/t in all major locations. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 24,300-26,700/t and CDRI prices, at INR 26,000-30,300/t. Only 5,000 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 8 July compared to 6,600 t on 5 July.
