BigMint's bi-weekly index for Fe 63% concentrate currently stands at INR 5,650/t exw ($68/t) exw, a marginal drop of INR 50/t ($1/t) as against the last assessment on 2 February.

BigMint's index for domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) in Mandi Gobindgarh dropped INR 100/t on 6 March, 2024, reaching INR 37,700/t on a delivered-at-plant (DAP) basis.

Sponge iron prices in India decreased by INR 50-250/t on 6 March, 2024. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 25,000-27,400/t and CDRI prices, at INR 26,400-31,000/t. About 14,950 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 6 March compared to 14,060 t on 5 March.
