BigMint's Odisha iron ore fines (Fe 62%) index inched down by INR 50/tonne (t) w-o-w to INR 4,700/t ($56/t) ex-mines on 6 July, 2024. No deals of standard Fe62% fines were recorded from the merchant miners. However, direct deals of around 400,000 t of various grades were concluded in the Odisha region by mills this week.

Mill scale prices in Kandla remained stable at INR 6,700/t DAP on 6 Jul'24 against 3 Jul. 2,500 t deals were concluded at INR 6,650-7,000/t DAP Kandla. Meanwhile, mill scale prices in Raipur stayed unchanged at INR 6,800/t exw on 6 Jul.

ERW patra pipe (41-60 OD) prices declined w-o-w in both Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh amid a slowdown in finished steel demand in both markets due to which a decline in trading activities was seen in these markets compared to last week.
