Sponge iron prices in India exhibited mixed sentiments, dropping by INR 50-200/tonne (t). PDRI prices closed at a range of INR 24,900-27,100/t while CDRI prices were assessed at INR 26,850-31,000/t. About 6,200 t of sponge iron deals were recorded on 4 July compared to 7,360 t on 3 July.

BigMint's weekly Indian low-grade iron ore fines (Fe 57%) export index increased by $5/t w-o-w at $63/tonne (t) FOB east coast on 27 June 2024. Around 110,000 t Fe 57% fines deals were recorded from India at $76-77/t CFR China in this publishing window.

BigMint's billet index fell by INR 200/t to INR 40,200/t exw-Raipur on 4 July, 2024. Transactions of 1,500 t were noted on 4 July as against 1,000 t on 3 July.
