BigMint's billet index rose by INR 750/tonne (t) to INR 45,350/t exw Raipur on 3 June, 2024. Transaction were recorded on 3 June were at 1,000 t, against 1,100 t on 31 May.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index which monitors the Mandi Gobindgarh market in north India rose by INR 600/t to INR 41,900/t DAP on 3 June, 2024.

Sponge iron prices in India rose by INR 250-1,000/t across markets. About 4,640 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 3 June compared to 8,870 t on 31 May.
