BigMint's billet index remained stable at INR 39,000/tonne (t) exw-Raipur on 29 July, 2024.About 1,880 t of transactions were recorded on 29 July as against 4,500 t on 26 July.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market climbed by INR 300/t to INR 38,300/t DAP on 29 July, 2024.

Sponge iron prices in India increased by INR 100-500/tonne (t). PDRI prices were assessed at INR 24,300-27,000/t, while CDRI stood at INR 26,300-30,300/t. About 7,700 t of sponge iron deals were concluded on 29 July as against 23,650 t on 26 July.
