BigMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index dropped by INR 200/t ($1/t) to INR 9,600/t ($116/t) DAP Raipur on 28 June, 2024 compared to the last assessment on 25 June. This publishing window has around 83,500 t deals of raw pellets.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index for the Mandi Gobindgarh market increased by INR 800/tonne (t) ($9.6) to INR 38,500/t DAP on 28 June, 2024.

India's sponge iron market witnessed an increase in prices today ranging from INR 100-900/t in all key locations. PDRI prices were assessed at INR 24,700-27,300/t at close of trading and CDRI prices at INR 26,500-31,000/t. About 24,500 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 28 June compared to 15,700 t on 27 June.
