BigMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 28 Aug'24

BigMint's weekly iron ore concentrate index stood at around INR 3,900/tonne (t) ($46/t) exw on 28 August 2024, a drop of INR 100/t ($1/t) from the last assessment on 24 August.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index, which tracks the Mandi Gobindgarh market, slid by INR 300/t to INR 37,000/t DAP on 28 August 2024.

Indian sponge iron prices dropped by INR 50-400/t on 28 August in all major locations. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 23,500-26,500/t, and CDRI prices were at INR 26,000-29,800/t. Only 6,200 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 28 August compared to 8,150 t on 27 August.
