BigMint's billet index dropped INR 300/t to INR 44,100/t exw-Raipur on 27 May, 2024. Approximately 2,600 t of trades were heard on 27 May compared to 700 t on 24 May.

Sponge iron prices in India dropped by INR 50-600/t d-o-d across various regions in India due to weak market sentiments. PDRI prices closed at a range of INR 26,900-28,500/t. Meanwhile, CDRI prices were assessed at INR 29,000-34,500/t. About 4,700 t of sponge iron deals were recorded on 27 May compared to 7,450 t on 24 May.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index in the Mandi Gobindgarh market fell slightly by INR 100/t to INR 40,700/t DAP on 27 May, 2024.
