BigMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 26 Feb'24

BigMint's billet index was sturdy at INR 39,400/t exw-Raipur on 26 February, 2024. About 2,600 t of transactions were recorded on 26 February as against 2,250 t on 24 February.

Sponge iron prices dipped on 26 February, 2024, by INR 50-300/t in almost all key locations of India on unclear market trends. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 24,800-27,600/t and CDRI prices, at INR 26,300-31,100/t. About 13,950 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 26 February compared to 10,050 t on 24 February.

The Mandi Gobindgarh steel market witnessed a decline in domestic end-cutting scrap prices on 26 February'2024, as reported by BigMint. Prices dropped by INR 100/t, settling at INR 37,700/t delivered at plant.
