BigMint's weekly iron ore concentrate index was assessed at around INR 3,850/t ($46/t) exw-Jabalpur, unchanged from the previous assessment on 21 September, 2024.

Sponge iron prices in India rose by INR 100-700/tonne (t) d-o-d across key markets. PDRI market prices closed at INR 26,000-27,200/t and CDRI prices at INR 27,750-31,000/t. Around 24,800 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded, marking a significant rise from 24 Sept 12,050 t.

BigMint's billet index rose further by INR 550/tonne (t) to INR 40,050/t exw-Raipur on 25 September 2024. Deals of around 4,700 t were recorded, compared to 3,000 t on 24 September.
