BigMint's billet index rose INR 500/tonne (t) to INR 39,100/t exw-Raipur on 23 September 2024. Deals of around 5,500 t were recorded, compared to 5,100 t on 20 September.

Sponge iron prices in India rose by INR 100-550/tonne (t) across various markets. On 23 September, approximately 33,900 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded across the country, a significant rise from 26,700 t on 20 September.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market increased by INR 200/tonne (t), reaching INR 36,300/t DAP today.
