BigMint's billet index continued to decline further by INR 450/t, reaching INR 38,600/t exw-Raipur on 22 July, 2024. About 900 t deals were recorded on 22 July, against 3,700 t on 19 July.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market decreased by INR 700/t to INR 37,700/t DAP on 22 July, 2024.

Sponge iron prices declined by INR 200-550/t across various locations.PDRI prices closed at a range of INR 24,000-26,500/t while CDRI prices were assessed at INR 25,800-30,000/t. About 7,300 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded on 22 July compared to 5,560 t on 19 July.
